In this segment, we are going to show you the fix to resolve the outlook issue “Emails going to archive folders, not in Inbox”.
What is Outlook?
Microsoft Outlook is an email and calendar application that is a part of the Microsoft office application suite. Outlook includes new features and enhancements, including:
– Improved communication features, including better integration with social networks and the ability to share files and links with others in your email.
Now Microsoft moved all its productivity platforms to the cloud for better stability and increase productivity by working together on the same project from a different location.
Nowadays we are facing lots of issues regarding Microsoft products as they are moving everything to the cloud because of increasing demand and supply chain. Due to that transition, we got regular hacking attempts.
So, when your outlook got hacked or we can say your E-mail got Hacked.
The hacker/spammer uses the “Mail Forwarding” spam trick to confuse the user.
We can quickly fix this issue by using the below-given technique after the spam e-mail is removed from the mailing environment.
Outlook Issue Fix
You need to check the following settings in the Webmail address and check Outlook.com’s settings:
- Settings (gear icon)
- View all Outlook settings
- Now delete the Forwarding for rules forwarding your mail to the archive folder.
After that restart the outlook and wait for the changes to sync on your outlook client as well.
Note: Forwarding mail is a common spammer trick – It beats logging into every mailbox they hack.
